Day 1: Arrive in Parc de Volcanoes
Meet and be greeted by our company safari guide. After briefing, you will be transferred to Volcanoes National Park. Overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge/Le Bambou Lodge/Kinigi guest house (FB)
Day 2: Gorilla trekking
Depart to the park headquarters for the briefing on Gorilla trip formalities with packed lunch and trekking gears to enable you trek easily. Set off for the trekking into the tropical rain forest in search for the habituated gorilla groups. It’s the most spectacular wildlife experiences one can have by getting close to the animals to get a good scrutiny. The massive biodiversity, incredible panorama and astonishing views also attract tourists. Overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge/Le Bambou Lodge/Kinigi guest house
Day 3: Transfer to Mgahinga National Park
After breakfast, drive to Gatuna border (Rwanda-Uganda border) and cross to Uganda section. You will proceed to Mgahinga National Park, Kisoro. Visit Lake Mutanda before checking-in at your Lodge. On your arrival, you will relax at the lodge while preparing for the gorillas the next day. Overnight at Mgahinga Safari Lodge/Kisoro Tourist Hotel (FB)
Day 4: Gorilla tracking
Have an early morning breakfast and packed lunch, before you head off for the trekking. The activity can take a full day though adventurous and exciting. If the Gorillas are on the Rwanda side we will do the alternative Golden Monkey tracking (trekking) which will be an exhilarating experience. In both cases we take a packed lunch for the journey. Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi
Proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Forest found in the southern part of the country. On your arrival, you will relax at the lodge while preparing for the gorillas the next day. Overnight at Mahogany Springs/Lake Kitandara Tented Camp/Buhoma Community Bandas (FB).
Day 6: Gorilla traking vacation
Early in the morning after breakfast and briefing by a ranger guide, enter into the Gorilla Sanctuary for your adventure. The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but criss-crossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. Mammals in the forest include the endangered mountain gorilla, rare golden monkey, buffalo, elephant, black fronted duiker, bushbuck, leopard, giant forest hog and many others. The park is known for its fascinating gorillas. The time taken and the terrain vary according to the movements of these marvelous primates. The thrill of spending time and observing the gorillas is a rare moving, awesome and exciting adventure. Day 7: Departure
Head back to Uganda-Rwanda, and drive to Kigali International Airport for a departure flight.
