Day 1: Depart for Kibale National Park
After breakfast set for Kibale National Park we’ll take the scenic drive through tea plantations and a lunch break in Fort Portal town which is 34 kms from the Main Park. The Park is home to several families of primates including habituated chimpanzees. It has 11 species of primates, including many families of chimps and colobus monkeys, buffalo, warthog, Uganda Kob and over 300 bird species. Overnight at the Ndali Lodge/Chimps’Nest/Ataco Country Resort.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Safari
Early in the morning proceed to Kibale National park headquarters 8:00am for chimpanzee safari. Tracking will begin and last for about 3hrs get back by mid noon. Chimpanzee safari in Kibale forest national park will thrill you; look out for primates like the colobus monkeys, families of chimps, a diversity of birds and an abundance of butterflies and other tropical insects. You will have a picnic lunch there, and then you will take an optional visit to the Bigodi wetland sanctuary a superb ecotourism site established to protect the Magombe swamps-a haven of birds (137 species) and a number of primates. Overnight at the Ndali Lodge/Chimps’Nest/Ataco Country Resort
Day 3: Drive back to Kampala
After breakfast, we will drive back to Kampala with Lunch en route, arriving in the afternoon.
