4 Days Gorilla Trekking Lake Mburo

hippo swimThis 4 days safari starts from Kampala and takes you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for mountain gorilla tracking. It is estimated that only 700 mountain gorillas are remaining world wide. Later drive to Lake Mburo National Park to carry out game drives and canoe rides. This safari will end in Kampala on the fourth day.

 

 

 

Day 1: Depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Early morning we depart for Bwindi impenetrable forests “Home to the rare Mountain gorillas” After a five hour drive through villages, towns, highlands, and grazing lands southwest we get to Bwindi impenetrable forest. The scenic drive take you through the area famed to be the “Switzerland of Africa”, with a stop at the equator for photography and an informative talk as well as lunch en route in Mbarara. Overnight at Mahogany Springs/Lake Kitandara Tented Camp/Buhoma Community Bandas

gorilla fingerDay 2: Uganda Gorilla Safari
Early morning we have our break fast and after we gather at the Uganda wild life authority Bwindi headquarters for registering, get walking sticks and group up for pre-trek briefing. 8:00 am we start the gorilla trek which takes us between half and hour to up to whole day through a steeply forested landscape which has incredible dense under growth “an experience of penetrating the impenetrable”.
The experience of tracking and finding these great primates is very, exciting; there are 9 other primate species including chimpanzee, blue monkey, black and white colobus monkey, plus 300 bird species and 200 species of butter flies. Day 3: Depart for Lake Mburo National Park
After break fast we will head for Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s fourth National park was gazzeted in 1982.The Park covers an area surface of 256kmq. It offers varied scenic beauty hills and valleys. Later take the boat cruise on Lake Mburo which will last 2 hrs. Do an evening game drive, with a chance to view, Zebra, Impala, Topis, Wipsprings, Elands, Buffaloes, Hippos, Crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. Overnight at Mantana Tented Camp/Arcadia Cottages/Rwonyo Camp

Day 4: Nature walk and drive to Kampala
After breakfast, go for a morning nature walk, and prepare to leave for Kampala lunch on the way.
